Testimonials:

I have been in this co-op from the start. I have 3 kids - 6.5 year old son, 4.5 year old daughter, and 2.5 year old son. Last August I was sinking and if something didn't change, I was going to have to get a job so I could put my kids in private school. I didn't want to because I KNEW home was best for them and I KNEW the KONOS way of homeschooling was the VERY best way for them to learn. However, I'm not Jessica and I was beginning to think it wasn't the best way for ME to teach. I WANTED to teach that way, don't get me wrong, but I was sinking, fast. Just as I was about to go down for the last time, a life-line appeared . . . an email from Wade announcing the virtual co-op. I jumped on it because I knew this was my answer to prayer and if I didn't "survive" using the co-op, then I at least would have given it all I had. I was a little leery of the $30 a month, as it seemed like a lot to me, but I still knew I had to give it a go or sink. The value is WAY more than $30 a month . . . and I'm now grateful that they didn't charge the true value *grin*! Also, the $30 helps keep me on task as I want to be a good steward of our money, so I do my best to get all I can out of it!

I am in training to become a master teacher (on the Creating the Balance Video, Jessica says to give yourself 3 years.) Every week I am sitting at the feet of Jessica and learning how to properly teach my kids- I'm thinking the videos will shorten that time! I am learning about pitfalls instead of experiencing many of them. I have the accountability of the group to keep on task and I "see" what I am missing instead of just blowing it off and forgetting about it. Jessica gives us permission slips, but I don't like to use them very often! I am getting better at being protective of my school time - minimizing interruptions and saying "no" to activities that don't line up with the goals. My DIALOGUE with my kids in relation to our unit(s) is expanding in leaps and bounds at times other than school!
